ABOUT

If you've already read the homepage, you'll know pretty much what we're about. We are looking for writers who are radical, slightly crazy or just plain brilliant. Wild Orphan has been set up to move literature in the direction of life, not literary rules or norms. And for that, we need you: writers.

There are no rules for what you need to write. We like the visual, the experimental, the 'Wild Orphan' writers of literature. However, if you're stuck for ideas of what to send in, here's a list of what Wild Orphan likes: Aldous Huxley, Joelle Taylor, Jack Kerouac, disembodied poetics, vegetarianism, feminism, Paul Goodman, Kenneth Rexroth, Allen Ginsberg, hippy communes, Anne Waldman, performance poetry, the Oxford comma, and laughing at Norman Mailer.

But most of all, we just love writing. Good writing.
